Alcario O. Armenta, 100, went to be with our Lord on Monday, November 19, 2018. He is predeceased by his wife of 54 years, Placida Montoya and his parents: Borjas Pasqual and Hilaria Armenta. Mr. Armenta is survived by his son, Alcario "Al" C. Armenta and wife, Jeannie; daughter, Helen Marie Armenta; 3 grandsons: Ronnie, Christopher (Nicole), and Brian (Christina); and 3 great-grandchildren: Nicole, Michael, and Alana.
Alcario entered the US Navy in 1943 and was assigned to the USS Pocomoke (AV-9) Class seaplane tender during World War II. She operated principally in the Pacific Theatre of the war and serviced military seaplanes.
He thoroughly enjoyed dancing at the senior citizen centers. Mr. Armenta also loved spending time with his children especially going to visit Helen. When he visited them he also enjoyed shopping for groceries. He was a chile connoisseur and also loved roasting his own green chile. Alcario loved also buying new cars and although he loved taking them apart it was a challenge to put them back together.
