Alexander "Alex" Luis Leyba

Alexander "Alex" Luis Leyba passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at home. He was 28 years young.

Alex was born August 12, 1992 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He grew up in the North Valley. He attended Valley High School. He always had an interest in cars, he enjoyed learning about them and working on them. Alex was close with his grandmother, Lucy D. Leyba. As she grew older, he would take care of her and became her caregiver.

He was full of life and appreciated nature. He had a beautiful smile which will always be remembered, and was able to light up the room. His laugh was contagious and will be everlasting in memories. Alex enjoyed spending time with friends and making memories outdoors. He was a loving young man. He was learning new traits, and working outdoors. He had a green thumb and enjoyed taking care and nurturing his plants. He loved dogs, and enjoyed the ones he had. Alex loved wrestling and enjoyed cooking. He was a loving soul, patient and kind. He was a great son, grandson, brother, cousin and friend.

Alex is proceeded in death by his mother Evangeline Leyba, grandparents Max Leyba, and Lucy D. Leyba.

He is survived by his brother Maximiliano Ray Martinez, and other family members and friends who loved him.

May his soul be laid to rest, and welcomed by loved ones, as he enters the gates of Heaven.
