Amalio Aguirre

Amalio Aguirre, a cherished soul known for his loving nature, kindness, and exceptional handiness, departed our world on Thursday, December 21, 2023, at the age of 61.

Amalio was preceded in death by his parents Julio and Basilia Aguirre; brothers: Pancho, Manuel, Emilio; sister Lucia; and friend Chuy.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Rosa Maria Aguirre; children: Amalio, Roxana, and Joel.

Born on July 10, 1962, in Santa Maria Del Oro, Durango, Amalio lived a life enriched with the simple pleasures of fishing and camping, immersing himself in the melodies of country music, and in his youth, reveling in the joys of baseball.

Settling in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Amalio was revered as a devoted husband and an even more remarkable father. His steadfast dedication to his family was a testament to his character. The warmth of his love and the wisdom of his guidance will forever be missed by those whose lives he profoundly touched.

As we bid farewell to Amalio, his memory will remain as a beacon of the compassion and joy he brought into this world. His legacy of love and service will continue to inspire and reside within our hearts eternally.

Amalio’s life celebration will begin with a visitation on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW 87102. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Service will be held on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Salazar Mortuary. Amalio will be laid to rest following the service at Fairview Memorial Park located at 700 Yale Blvd SE, 87106.

Pallbearers will be Amalio Jr., Joel, Rogelio, Jr., Rogelio, Ezekel, Isael.
