Andy Chavez

Andy Chavez was called by the Lord Jesus on Tuesday, November 24, 2020 and is resting in His care. He was preceded in death by his sons: Mark Chavez, Matthew Chavez and Malcolm Chavez; and parents:  Andres and Inez Chavez.

Andy is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Evangeline Chavez; son, Marvin Chavez and daughter Maureen Padilla and husband, Louie; brother: Ben Chavez and wife Lilly;  sister: Delores Baca and husband Wilfred; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; as well as his compadre Tony Briceño.

Andy enjoyed playing guitar.  He played in the church choir with his wife Von.  He was a self-employed carpet contractor.  "Are you behaving?  Yes, Grandpa!  Why?  It's Sunday!"

Andy had many, many nieces and nephew, grandchildren and great, they all loved him and said that he was their favorite!  He loved to dance and that's how he met his wife.

Services are pending and will be announced at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Marcus Chavez, Melanie Chavez James, Mariah Padilla, Meghan Padilla, Jennifer Chavez, and Louie Padilla.  Honorary pallbearers will be Monique Chavez, Marcel Chavez, Makayla Chavez, Matthew James, Bentley Owens, and Elise Owens.
