Angela Dorothy Sanchez Roybal

Angela Dorothy Sanchez Roybal, Age 71, beloved mother and sister, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 19, 2020 as God's will be done .

Angela died in Albuquerque, New Mexico at Genesis Healthcare Uptown Facility, of a long term illness. She survived being positive with Covid-19 in May and June, 2020.  She was so strong, determined and a fighter.

Angela was preceded in death by her second daughter Valerie Lynn Roybal, her parents Cristobal and Estella Sanchez of Santa Fe, New Mexico, her grandparents Jose and Beneriza Medina who lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Pedro and Filomena Sanchez who lived in Las Vegas, New Mexico, and her twin that was stillborn.

She was born in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She was mostly raised by her nana (her grandmother Beneriza). She attended the Convent at St. Gertrude's in Holman, New Mexico near Mora and transferred to Santa Fe High School.

She loved and nurtured both of her daughters. She learned two different sign languages to communicate with Dory when she found that she became deaf as an infant. One of her favorite signs that she always liked to say is, "I Love You this much", and  she extended her arms so wide.

Angela leaves behind her daughter Dorinda (Dory), and all her relatives and friends especially Roy DeHaven who gave more of himself than anyone would imagine, her 7 sisters and 4 brothers: Gloria F. Sanchez (Deceased), Mary Ann Thibodeau. Christine S. Baca, Chris Sanchez (Dolores), Consuelo (Connie) Montoya, Theresa Valdez (Raymond), Peggy Vigil (Paul), Leo Sanchez, Patrycia (Pat) Sanchez (Maggie), Anthony Sanchez (Francille) and Edward Sanchez, also many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She also leaves behind her daughters’ father Buddy (Cervantes) Roybal, his wife Irene, and their children Michael and Melissa.

Angela wished to thank the staff of the Dialysis Center Inc., and at Genesis Healthcare Uptown.

Angela's Life Celebration details will be announced at a later time after COVID-19 restrictions.
