Angelo Eloy Ruiz, 27, met our Gracious Heavenly Father on Sunday, February 28, 2021.
Angelo was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 21, 1993. The son of Diego M. and Genevieve Ruiz. He was known to everyone as one of the sweetest, most loving, value-oriented, passionate, charismatic, and adventurous souls. He was in constant awe of God’s creation and saw the beauty in every detail of nature, which inspired his desire to travel and explore different parts of the world. From running with the bulls in Spain, to climbing the Alps in Switzerland, there was no adventure too big or too great to stop him from pushing life to the limits. His adventurous tendencies brought him to do more in 27 years than most will ever do in an entire lifetime. His curiosity brought him to the most obscure places and his dashing charm allowed him to make friends with anyone and everyone.
As a young boy Angelo valued his time with family. Angelo carried that desire for quality time with the ones he loved through his adulthood. He would make special requests almost daily to bring the family together to have “family time”. To Angelo, there was nothing more important than salvation and family. He served as the family peacemaker and mediator all his life. Interacting and connecting with the people he loved was so crucial to him. It filled him with an immense amount of joy and truly filled his cup.
Angelo and his siblings were homeschooled by their mother at the beginning of their educational years. He excelled in all he did, though mischief and playfulness were never too far behind him. Angelo attended Rio Grande Enrichment Studies until 9th grade where he then attended La Cueva High School. He pursued and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Creative Media, majoring in Animation and Visual Effects from New Mexico State University. Before moving to the City of Angels, Los Angeles, California, Angelo studied International Business abroad at the Universidad de Santiago De Compostela, in Galicia, Spain as well as The Johannes Kepler University in Linz, Austria. The experiences he had and the people he encountered remained close at heart for all his days.
Angelo began working for PHP in 2018. During this time he saw an opportunity to help others financially, spiritually and mentally, which kicked off his journey to educate and inspire others with all that he could. As he loved the pursuit of personal development, he never hesitated to share what he learned with those around him, near and far. His intention in sharing the knowledge he received was to better anyone that would listen.
Angelo cared for others through selfless acts of service toward his family, friends, coworkers and community. If you ever had the privilege of meeting this handsome, dimpled gentleman, you would know that his humor, cleverness, and wit were unmatched. Angelo was always intentional in finding ways to strengthen his existing relationships, which he found such solace in. His good looks, passion for acting, creativity and hard work landed him several commercials that aired on national television, along with a speaking role as a sultan with an impeccable British accent in a feature film that screened in select theaters across the country. Angelo’s art was astonishing. He was always looking to the beauty around him in the world for inspiration. His creativity came in many forms including sketches, drawings, sculptures and digital media. He designed the logos for several large companies, and even illustrated a children’s book. Angelo’s best work was always the work he did in quiet moments when he was influenced by the colors in the sunset or the pattern on a snail’s shell. Angelo’s smile was unbelievably contagious and impossible to forget, as it lit up the room. His leadership encouraged others to pursue their passions, think big, and reach inside themselves to evolve and become the best, most authentic version of themselves. Angelo was not ashamed to share his faith in the Lord by always giving the glory to God and setting a Christ-like example for those around him. He truly saw God in everything that he did. Even as a child his understanding of scripture and spiritual concepts was astounding. He understood them and truly believed them to be true and right and worth living by. This carried him through life. His favorite verse was Romans 8:28 “and we know that all things work together for good to those who love The Lord and are called according to His purpose."
Angelo is survived by his father Diego M. Ruiz; mother Genevieve Ruiz; brother Diego D. Ruiz; sister Natalia Harrison; brother-in-law Vincent Harrison; grandparents: Diego and Emma
Ruiz, as well as Eloy and Gloria Perea; and many, many aunts, uncles, cousins, tios, tias, primos, and friends that he held so dear to his heart.
