Angelo "Lolo" Herrera

September 18, 2005 — October 14, 2023

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, nephew, and loved one, Angelo Ceceilo Herrera.

Angelo, affectionately known as "Lolo,” passed away at the age of 18, due to gun violence on Saturday, October 14, 2023, in his hometown of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Lolo was preceded in death by his great-grandmother Vicenta Sandoval, and great cousin Suzanna “Candy” Pena.

He is survived by his mother Cristal Sedillio; step-father Richard Sedillio; four siblings: Marcos Sandoval, (Victoria Otero and baby on the way), Rolando Herrera (fiancé Gloria, nephew Legend and niece baby Clover on the way), Candila Herrera, Junior Ray Herrera; grandparents: Tom and Bernadette Bohl, Paul and Vivian Caldwell, Debbie Sedillio; nina and nino: Leo and Marisella Sandoval, also many aunties, uncles, cousins, and loved ones.

Lolo was born September 18, 2005, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Lolo's life was joyful, filled with countless antics, and endless laughter. Always mischievous, Angelo was known for his escapades, persuasiveness, for being able to talk his way out of anything, but more importantly, he was renowned for being willing to go to the end of the earth for those he loved. Especially his mother, siblings, cousin Cruz, and his close friends and family.

At a young age, Lolo showed signs of giftedness, he was a strategic thinker, and fearless. He placed in several wrestling tournaments and could often be found outside in nature. From cruising on his skateboard, swimming in the Rio Grande River, running in the rain, going for long walks, or just basking in the sun. He liked to be spontaneous, was always ready for the next adventure, and was excited to just enjoy life. He also had a serious side, introverted, studious, and incredibly intelligent. He liked to make and build things, to nerd out on anime and gaming, and he was always determined to do whatever he set his mind to. He was working towards the completion of a B.C.T certificate at Job Corp, where he hoped to start a career in HVAC and welding upon graduation.

Lolo leaves us with countless memories, side-splitting recollections of his outrageous antics, and a deep and lasting impression on our hearts that we will treasure for all the days of our lives.

During this difficult time we ask for your prayers, compassion, and support as we navigate life without him, and seek Justice for Angelo’s untimely passing.

Lolo's Life Celebration will be private.
