Antoinette Jordan Mccann

Antoinette Jordan McCann, 79, passed away on April 23, 2017 at Kindred Hospice in Albuquerque, NM surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on February 22, 1938 in Chattanooga, TN to Ira and Mamie Jordan.

Antoinette grew up between Chattanooga, TN and Denver, Colorado where she raised by her Aunts Rosa Zulong and Theresa Smith.

She graduated from Manual High School in Denver, Colorado. After high school she attended Metropolitan State College in Denver, CO where she received a BA in Nursing. She worked for the VA as a Mental Health Nurse for 35 years.

Antoinette married Alonzo in 1954 in Denver, CO. They were happily married for 53 years. Antoinette was a member of several social clubs. She enjoyed gardening, dancing and spending time with her family.

Antoinette is survived by her husband Alonzo, her ten children; ten grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins; one sister, Iris Fleming of Denver, CO; and one brother, Robert Jordan of Baltimore, MD.

Antoinette was preceded in death by her parents Ira and Mamie Jordan; Rosa Zulong, Theresa Smith, and her brother Theodore Jordan.

Antoinette's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Riverside Church of Christ, located at 3100 La Orilla Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87120, followed by a Service at 10:00 a.m.Burial will follow Services at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 a.m. Please join the family for a Repass at Riverside Church of Christ following Burial.

Pallbearers will be Antoinette's sons and grandsons.
