Aristeo "Jr." Lopez

Beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather, Aristeo "Jr." Lopez went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 14, 2021 surrounded by his immediate family at the age of 72.

Aristeo is preceded in death by Jackie Zamora, Jennie Rivera, Andrew Lopez, Isaac Lopez, and Frances Lopez.

He is survived by his wife Mary Lopez; three children: Aristeo Paul Lopez and wife Lupe, Kathy Montgomery and husband Eric, Melissa Duran and husband Ronnie; six grandchildren: Ashley Lopez, Kayla Myre, Alexis Duran, Alicia Duran, Maya Montgomery, Melody Lopez; one great grandchild Bradley Myre; brother and sisters: Mary Jaramillo, Edwina Tabares, and James Lopez. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Aristeo was born in Torreon New Mexico to Aristeo and Desideria Lopez on July 29, 1948.

His passions included painting landscapes, sports, and traveling with his wife, friends and family. He was a collector of all memorabilia. His fun loving attitude, jokes and craziness will be missed.

Aristeo loved his family and they were his pride and joy. He would drop everything and help anyone who needed him. He was so proud of his family’s accomplishments and talents. He never missed a game, a performance, or any special occasion. He was always the loudest in the stands and the first on the floor to dance.

Aristeo's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, May 18, 2021 at 5:00 pm at the Reflection of Life Chapel® inside the Reflections Funerals & Life Celebration located at 2400 Washington St. NE, 87110. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm also at the Reflection of Life Chapel®. Final Visitation will take place on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at 10:30 am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church located at 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW, 87105. Mass will begin at 11:00 am also at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Aristeo will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102. Reception will follow at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church's Gym.

Pallbearers will be Ronnie Duran, Eric Montgomery, Herman Zamora, Phillip Jaramillo, John Padilla, and Alan Myer.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Robert Ramirez and Gabriel Ramirez.
