Benito Torres Aguirre

March 21, 1940 — August 28, 2021

Benito Torres Aguirre of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at the age of 81, with his family by his side.

He is preceded in death by his father Concepcion Torres Ponce and mother Soledad Aguirre Chairez.

He is survived by his wife Rita Rebeles de Torres and children.

Benito was born in El Salto Salto de Arriba, Inde, Durango on March 21, 1940. He was one of ten children. He worked in agriculture and landscaping most of his life. Benito met his wife in Algodones, Baja California, they were married in November of 1975.

Benito was a humble, giving, loveable, and kind human being. He was a wonderful husband and devoted father. Benito was a man of his word and also a person whom anyone could rely on. He was always ready to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He will be deeply missed by his friends, family, and all who knew him.

Benito's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 5:00pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm. Final Viewing will take place on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at 9:30am at San Jose Catholic Church located at 2401 Broadway Blvd SE, 87102. Mass will begin at 10:00am. Benito will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.

Due to COVID, San Jose Catholic Church has a capacity of 250 people and masks are required.

Pallbearers will be Jose C. Torres, Ruben Torres, Benito Torres, Jr., Allan R. Marquez, Daniel Torres, and Geovanni Marquez.

Le precedieron en la muerte su padre Concepción Torres Ponce y su madre Soledad Aguirre Chairez.

Le sobreviven su esposa Rita Rebeles de Torres e hijos.

Benito nació en El Salto Salto de Arriba, Inde, Durango el 21 de marzo de 1940. Fue uno de diez hijos. Trabajó en agricultura y jardinería la mayor parte de su vida. Benito conoció a su esposa en Algodones, Baja California, se casaron en noviembre de 1975.

Benito era un ser humano humilde, generoso, adorable y amable. Fue un esposo maravilloso y un padre devoto. Benito era un hombre de palabra y también una persona en la que cualquiera podía confiar. Siempre estaba dispuesto a echar una mano a cualquiera que lo necesitara.

Sus amigos, familiares y todos los que lo conocieron lo extrañarán profundamente.

La Celebración de la Vida de Benito comenzará con una Visitación el martes 7 de septiembre de 2021 a las 5:00 pm en Salazar Mortuary ubicada en 400 Third St SW, 87102. Se rezará el rosario a las 7:00 pm. La visualización final se llevará a cabo el miércoles 8 de septiembre de 2021 a las 9:30 am en la iglesia católica de San José ubicada en 2401 Broadway Blvd SE, 87102. La misa comenzará a las 10:00 am. Benito será sepultado después de la misa en el cementerio Mount Calvary ubicado en 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.

Debido a COVID, la Iglesia Católica San José tiene una capacidad de 250 personas y se requieren máscaras.
