Our beloved daughter, sister, mother, and grandmother, Bernadette K. Zamora, was called to be home with the Lord on Sunday, January 31, 2021.
She was preceded in death by her mother Martha B. Zamora; sister Cindy Gutierrez; brother Lawerence Zamora; and nephew Daniel Tafoya.
Bernadette is survived by her father Joe Zamora; daughter Mariah Zamora (fiancé Najonie Mora); granddaughter AnnaLeigha Mora; brother-in-law Peter Gutierrez; sisters: Louise Tafoya (Ralph), Geralene Martinez (Frank), Juliette Alarcon (Joe); brothers: Joseph Zamora, Ray Zamora (Roberta); and also several nieces and nephews.
Bernadette was the youngest of eight children, born on February 11, 1974. Her nickname given by her eldest sister,Cindy was "Nutter Butter". She was known for her big heart and willingness to help those who were marginalized. Berna worked for APS as an Educational Assistant where she cared for children with Autism and special needs. She lived her faith openly by reading her Bible and talking about God to anyone who would listen. She loved her daughter, Mariah very much and cherished being a grandma to AnnaLeigha. Berna always loved family and getting everyone together. She now gets her heart's desire as we gather to celebrate her life and love!
Bernadette's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 2:00 pm inside the Reflection of Life ® Chapel of Reflections Chapel/ Salazar Funeral Homes & Crematory located at 2400 Washington St NE, 87110. Mass will be held on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 11:00 am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church located at 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, 87105. Bernadette will be buried at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102 at 12:00 pm.
Due to the restrictions set in place by the Governor masks are MANDATORY to attend Bernadette's services. Reflections Funerals & Life Celebrations/Salazar Funeral Homes & Crematory has a limit of 5 people allowed inside the funeral home at one time. We ask that all attendees wait INSIDE their vehicles until we are ready to escort the next group of 5 in. Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church's capacity is currently 170 people. Mount Calvary is allowed to have 5 people at the graveside. They ask that all attendees stand back 20-30 feet in groups of 5.
Pallbearers will be Ray Zamora Sr., Ray Zamora Jr., Angelo Zamora, and Pete Gutierrez Jr.
