Bryan Michael Chiordi-Jones

August 3, 1960 — December 24, 2023

Bryan Michael Chiordi-Jones, 63, left this Earth on December 24th, 2023. He is reunited with his beloved grandparents, John and Sophie Chiordi, and his highly adored mother, Carol Ann Chiordi. He is survived by his wife Roni Goodwin-Chiordi; stepson Brody Goodwin; children Annalise, Ty, Heath, Gianina and her husband Amós; their mother Lize Vescovi; and his father, Charles Jones.

Born on August 3rd, 1960, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Bryan can only be described as lightning in a bottle. From a young age and throughout his life he proved tenacious, adventurous, curious, and (to his parents' dismay) more than a little mischievous.

He was a devoted father, an accomplished cook, a passionate entrepreneur who started one of the first microbreweries in the nation, an advanced brewmaster in his own right, and a steadfast friend to all who knew him. At the time of his passing, he was actively working to improve water treatment systems across several states. The man never slowed down!

He profoundly appreciated music, travel, the performing arts, natural sciences, astronomy, and poetry. His remarkable life was a tapestry of adventures across the country and abroad, experimenting with new brewing formulas to the delight of his grown children (his official taste testers), enjoying music by the fire under the stars, effortlessly preparing incredible meals for his family, and going all out every Christmas with 'all the trimmings.'

Bryan meant so much to his family, friends, and colleagues. His bright, warm, safe, and devoted presence made him a beacon of love and support. He was humble, hard-working, and hilarious — and everything to all of us who love him.

Bryan resonated deeply with the words of Jack London, which he felt captured his approach to life:

“I would rather be ashes than dust! I would rather my spark burn out in a brilliant blaze than be stifled by dry rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in a magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet.

The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.”

We continue to honor and remember Bryan's indelible impact by living fully and not merely existing. We love you, Pop.
