Candace A. Wauneka

Candace A. Wauneka went to be with the Lord on December 16, 2017.

She is Survived by her mother, Dolores A. Wauneka of the family home, her two brothers Robert F. Wauneka and Michael A. Wauneka; her aunt Ella Belinda of Gallup NM, her uncle David Wauneka and wife Ella, of Kirtland NM, Franklin Lewis of Kirtland NM, and Deacon Larry Cleveland and wife Martha of Bernalillo NM, her cousins: Cody Lewis of Albuquerque NM, Donavan Lewis of Phoenix, AZ, Brian Thompson of Salina, CA, Wayne Frazier of Gallup, NM, Anthony Thompson and wife Amanda of Colorado Springs, CO, Nicholas Thompson and wife Asheley of South Carolina, Charles Thompson of Colorado Springs, CO, Amanda Thompson of Salina, CA, Elise Gomez of Albuquerque, NM, Isabell Gomez of Albuquerque, NM, Marisol Gomez of Bernalillo, NM, and Ursula Gomez of Bernalillo, NM.

Candy is a graduate of University of New Mexico with a Bachelor of Arts in History. Candy is a graduate of Sandia High School. Candy played saxophone in the Sandia Matador Marching Band 1983 to 1987. Candy was a devoted Dallas Cowboy and UNM Lobo fan. Go Lobos! Candy enjoyed Isotopes baseball. Candy was an assistant manager at Dollar Tree. She loved her furry angels, her kitties, Chucky and Baxter.

Candy's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary/Eulogy on Friday, December 22, 2017, 5:00 p.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, located at 5310 Claremont NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2017, 10:00 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church. Interment will follow Services at Mount Calvary Cemetery, 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102. Please join the family for a Reception at Queen of Heaven Parish Hall following Burial.
