Carla Segura, was born on December 6, 1959, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. After a life full of love, joy and passion, she peacefully passed away in her home on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
Carla is preceded in death by father Andrew Rodriguez, mother Genoveva Baca and her grandparents.
She is survived by husband Richard; daughters: Amanda, Michelle; son in law Roger Garcia; grandkids: Ashley, Alexis, Allyson, Ayden; sister Jamie, brothers: Manuel, Andrew fiancé Cynthia, Brian and Cory.
Carla was a beacon of positivity, whose spirit was as vibrant as the New Mexico sunsets she adored. Her love for the Dallas Cowboys Football team was infectious, and she was the heart and soul of every game day.
Carla’s passion extended to her family, where she was the glue that held everyone together. Her presence was a constant source of comfort and love, a testament to her nurturing spirit.
Her baking, much like her personality, was warm, sweet, and always made with love. Her biscochitos recipe was highly sought after in her family and will always be cherished. Each treat was proof to her dedication and love for those around her.
Carla Segura lived a life full of passion and love, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met. Her spirit will continue to inspire us, reminding us to live each day with joy and love.
Carla’s life celebration will begin with a rosary to be recited on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, at 6:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Mass will take place on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 309 Stover Ave SW, 87102. Carla will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.
Pallbearers will be Roger Garcia, Ayden Garcia, Andrew Rodriguez, Brian Rodriguez, Cory Rodriguez, and William “Tiny” Powers
Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Baca and Donald Griego
