Carmen E. Jaramillo

June 24, 1924 — December 20, 2016

Our sweet and loving mother, Carmen Emily Marquez Jaramillo, born in Pagosa Springs, Colorado on 6/24/24, peacefully passed away on December 20, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, GG Jaramillo, as well as her brothers: John, Carl and Archie; and her sister, Gloria. She is survived by her sister, Goldie Bond, her children: Greg (Stefan), Donald (Debbie), Delane (Dennis), Allen (Valerie), Yvette (Tim), and Lori (Ramon), 12 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Mom was a loving and giving person to everyone she encountered and always put the needs and feelings of others above her own. Mom was a deeply religious woman of the Catholic faith and shared her love of God openly with all, especially her family.

Carmen's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary at Salazar Mortuary, 400 Third St. SW on Thursday, December 22nd at 7:00pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, December 23rd at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW 87105. Interment will be at the Santa Fe National Cemetery on Monday, December 26th at 9:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be Loren Jaramillo, April Lee LaPierre, Rico Silva, Dominique Jaramillo, Drew Barnwell and Bianca Elwell.
