Celina "Sally" Archuleta

Celina “Sally” Archuleta passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at the age of 91 years young.

She is preceded in death by her husband Juan “JB” Archuleta, daughter Eva Fought, parents Jacobo and Teresa Bachicha, siblings Rose Hudspeth, Helen Montoya, Florencio and Buddy Bachicha, and grandsons George Fought and Ryan Padilla.

Sally is survived by her son Anthony Archuleta and his wife Rosarita, daughter Jeanette Padilla and husband John, daughter Arleen Trujillo, sister Rita Jaramillo, and sisters-in-law Blasa Bachicha and Rose Bachicha, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Sally was born in Chilili, NM on April 28, 1930 and moved to Albuquerque as a teenager with her parents. She started working at the Coney Island restaurant on Central where she met her husband of 44 years. She later worked for Sunbell Corporation and eventually retired from Philips Semiconductor. She was involved with the Senior Center on 4th St. where she joined an award-winning singing group.

Sally, we are eternally grateful for your love and for touching each of our lives. We will miss you greatly, yet we take solace in the heartfelt memories and legacy you’ve given us.

Celina's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 7:30 am at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church located at 9502 4th St NW, 87114. Rosary will be recited at 8:00 am. Mass will begin at 9:00 am. Reception will follow the Mass in the Parish Hall. She will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St. Santa Fe, 87501 following the reception.
