Charles E. Gallegos

It is with great regret to announce the departure of a beloved brother, uncle, brother-in-law, godfather, great-uncle, and true angel. Anyone who knew Charles Eugene Gallegos knew what a wonderful man and mentor he was to everyone.
God blessed us with his presence on August 22, 1955 and called him home on July 18, 2014. He has gone home to be with his beloved mother and father who were there to greet him.
Charles was known to many as Chucky, Chuck Muck, #2, Uncle Charles, Charley and held a special place in everyone's heart.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Julia H. Gallegos and his father, Fred J. Gallegos. Charles' is survived by his brothers: Fred A. Gallegos and Jerry P. Gallegos and wife, Susan Gallegos; nieces and nephews: Jesse and Rosalind, Maggie, Chris and Jeanine, Keirsten, Marizol, Anthony, Julia and Brooklyn.
Charles' Life Celebration will begin with Visitation at 5:00p.m. on Thursday July 24, 2014 at Salazar Mortuary followed by a Rosary at 7:00p.m. A Life Celebration Mass will be held at St. Anne's Church at 1400 Arenal Rd SW, Albuquerque, NM 87105 at 9:00a.m. on Friday July 25, 2014 with a burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jesse F. Gallegos, Chris Gallegos, Anthony Gallegos, Carl Sanchez, Robert Sanchez, and Benny Romero. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Herrera and Robert Herrera.
