Keady, Charles . Charles "Chuck" Joseph Keady, 83, passed away peacefully Saturday, July 2, 2016. Chuck was born September 26, 1932 in Melrose, MA and was a long time resident of Albuquerque, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles F. and Leona A. Keady. He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 62 years, Ernestine; daughters Susan, Barbara and Carol; sons Steven and David; grandchildren Nick and his wife Amanda, Kimberly, Meghan and Jordyn; great grandchildren Merriah, Mahli, Zachary and Kylie; and all of his many dear friends. A week after graduating from Malden High School Chuck enlisted in the U.S. Air force, which was also marked the start of the Korean War. He served for four years as a weatherman with an honorable discharge in the spring of 1954. He then attended the College of St. Joseph and graduated with a Bachelors of Science in 1958. He then taught meteorology in Malden, MA. Chucks interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics was instrumental in his work with E.G. & G. for 25 years. He enjoyed spending his time playing and coaching youth hockey in Los Alamos and Albuquerque, NM. His volunteer work with Children's Friendship Project for Northern Ireland (CFPNI) kept him busy and his involvement was one of many of his highlights in contributing to Irish/American Society in Albuquerque. Words alone cannot truly express the great loss and pain endured by all those who were close to Chuck, but knowing him, he would rather have everyone reflect on this as a celebration of life well lived. He had a kind and loving spirit about him that will be missed by all. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the Los Alamos Hockey Association at LAHockey.org (attention Joseph Wermer). Chuck's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary on Wednesday July 6th, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. in the Reflection of LifeA
