Charles "Chuck" Dorsey, 86, passed away peacefully in his home on Saturday, February 18, 2023 with his loving wife Margie by his side.
He was preceded in death by his parents James E. and Hazel Dorsey, daughter Tammy Dorsey and sister Frances Zietz.
Chuck is survived by his wife Margie; son Robert Dorsey; step-daughters: Melanie Curran, Warrena Padilla, Stephanie Mora, Shelley Evans (Darrell); grandchildren: Brandon Dorsey (Christie), Bryan Molina (April), Nicole Rodriguez (Ted), Tyerza Velarde, Sasha Tovar (Jorge), Geena Mora, Ryan Curran, Jade Evans; great-grandchildren: Brayden Dorsey, Davin Dorsey, Chloe Dorsey, Zayne Dorsey, Shylo Molina, Kallie Tovar, John Mora-Barney, Matty Tovar, Mason Molina, Autumn Molina, Phoenix Molina, Remi Rose Rodriguez; niece: Sharon Royal; nephews Randy Tourville and Carl Zietz.
Chuck was born in Alamosa, Colorado on April 26, 1936 to James and Hazel. He graduated from Alamosa High School and attended Adams State College. He was a nuclear engineer at Los Alamos National Laboratory and retired in 2013.
Chuck's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 2:30pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Service will begin at 3:00pm. Reception will follow in Salazar Mortuary's Life Event Center.
