Chris R. Medina

Chris Medina, 68, who was loved by so many suddenly became ill and passed away.

He is survived by his sisters Bonnie Medina and Beatrice Medina; his three brothers, Anthony Medina, Michael Medina and Charles (Rocky) Medina along with many nieces and nephews.

We all loved him so much and this was a very sudden and unexpected loss. Anyone who knew Chris knew his passion for music and his strong belief and faith in GOD. He was a lifelong musician and with his music he went on many adventures. Playing the drums he traveled the world and made many friends along the way. He was also a Air Force Veteran who enlisted and served proudly for his country.

Unfortunately he was so much a free spirit that he forgot to get a insurance policy that would cover the steep burial fees. We are a proud family, but also could use any help we can get to assist his brothers and sisters in providing a respectful and loving sending off.

In this time of sorrow, it is so hard to see our parents and elders in so much pain. I am trying to help ease this pain by reaching out to you all for any little bit of support you may be able to provide. If I can help ease my families pain in any way I'd like to do it. So if any of you knew my uncle and would like to help, we would be so grateful.

If you can't help- its ok, we would love to see all of his friends, colleagues, band mates, soul brothers and sisters, hip mama's and cool cats come and lets send him off with a happy and melodious farewell.

Chris' Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary at 7:30 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary, located at 400 3rd St. SW in Albuquerque. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, July 6 at 9:00 a.m. at the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church on Indian School Rd. NE,
followed by burial at the Santa Fe National Cemetery at 11:15 a.m. Please join the family for a Reception following Burial at the Shrine of St. Bernadette Catholic Church in the Parish Hall.
