Christine Milligan

Christine Milligan, 98, went to be with the Lord on Friday, June 30, 2023.

She was preceded in death by her father Maximiliano Aragon, mother Jesusita Blea-Romero, stepfather Trinidad Romero, two daughters Elizabeth M. Guerra and Suzanne M. Saavedra (Julian).

Christine is survived by her life partner of over 60 years, Fred I. Griego, grandsons: Lucas C. Saavedra (Jacqueline), Angelo M. Guerra (Stephanie) granddaughter Camille R. Saavedra, great-grandsons: Christopher A. Saavedra (Jessica), Benjamin B. Guerra, great-granddaughter Emma R. Guerra, and great-great-granddaughter Isabella M. Saavedra. She adored her two daughters and all her grandchildren.

Christine grew up in Old Town, was a member of San Felipe Church, and graduated from Albuquerque High School in 1942. She talked about the fun she had growing up, was a great dancer, and would go to the Old Town Society Hall dances escorted by her mother, Susie. It was the Big Band era and bragged about being the best jitterbug dancer and winning several trophies. In later life she loved traveling and going to the casino.

Christine's life celebration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. at San Felipe de Neri Catholic Church located at 2005 N Plaza St NW, 87104. Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. Christine will be laid to rest following the Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.

Pallbearers will be Lucas Saavedra, Chris Saavedra, Angelo Guerra, and Jack Torres.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Isabella Saavedra.
