Cipriano "Pat" Dominguez, Jr. a cherished father, beloved friend, and respected Navy veteran, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2024, in his lifelong home of Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Pat was preceded in death by his son Patrick Dominguez, daughter Sabrina Dominguez, mother Beatrice Dominguez, father Cipriano Dominguez, twin brother Michael Dominguez, sisters: Alice Sandoval of Ribera, NM, Juanita Lopez of Bisbee, AZ, Mela Vigil, Consuelo Montoya, Evelyn Santillanes, Angie Serna, and Lorraine Townley all of Albuquerque, NM.

He is survived by his brother Wilfred Dominguez (Eloisa); granddaughter, Ariel Sabrina Dominguez; as well as many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Born on August 8, 1947, in the same vibrant city, Pat's life was a testament to his love for his community, his country, and the simple joys that make life worth living. Pat's early years were marked by a profound sense of duty and service, which led him to join the Navy, an experience that shaped much of his life and values. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Albuquerque, a place he always considered home. Here, he found solace in the rolling greens of the golf courses, indulging in his passion for the sport, and at one time, he was a proud member of a local golf club.

His interests were as varied as they were enthusiastic. Pat was known for his love of oldies music, his impressive collection of golf clubs, a Lincoln Town Car enthusiast, he could often be seen cruising around town with his loyal dog Sammy by his side. Pat's love for Mexican cuisine was no secret, with beans and short ribs being among his favorite dishes.

Above all, Pat's children were the pinnacle of his achievements. He often said that they were his greatest success in life, and he instilled in them the same values of joy and fulfillment that he lived by. His purpose in life was to enjoy every moment to the fullest, a goal he undoubtedly achieved.

A man with a contagious laugh and an endless repertoire of jokes, Pat was the life of any gathering. His friends and family will remember him as funny, thoughtful, and friendly, always ready to lend an ear or share a smile. His commitment to veterans' affairs remained a passionate pursuit throughout his life, advocating for those who served as he once did.

Pat's legacy is one of laughter, generosity, and an unwavering commitment to living life on his own terms. As we bid farewell to Cipriano "Pat" Dominguez, Jr. we celebrate a life well-lived and a man well-loved. His spirit will continue to inspire those who knew him, and his memory will be treasured in the hearts of many.

Pat will be laid to rest on Friday, December 6, 2024, at 12:30pm at Mount Calvary Cemetery in the Chapel located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.
