Clara (Clair) LeFebre, beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, in Edmonds, Washington.
Clara was preceded in death by her father, Frank LeFebre; sister Annette; and brothers: George and Eddie.
She is survived by her devoted mother Domie LeFebre, siblings, as well as her nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and a wide circle of cherished friends.
She was born on July 10, 1963, in Springer, New Mexico, to Frank and Domie LeFebre. A proud native of Wagon Mound, New Mexico, Clara grew up surrounded by a close-knit, loving family. She was a standout student-athlete at Wagon Mound Public Schools, graduating in 1981. Clara’s passion for basketball was evident from a young age. Her exceptional talent led the Wagon Mound Trojanettes to state and earned All-State honors. After high school, she received a full athletic scholarship to New Mexico Highlands University, where she continued to shine on the basketball court.
Clara’s remarkable work ethic and warm, generous spirit made a lasting impression on all who knew her. She had a unique ability to connect with people and make lifelong friends wherever she went. Her legacy of kindness and dedication will be remembered and cherished by many.
Though Clara is no longer with us, her spirit is free and at peace.
Clara's service will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at 11:00 at St. Edwin Catholic Church located at 2105 Barcelona Rd. Albuquerque, NM 87105. Clara will be laid to rest at a later time with her family.
