Clara Virginia Gonzales Burns

Clara Virginia Gonzales Burns died on Saturday, November 27, 2021.

She is preceded in death by her siblings: Clarita Gonzales, Virginia Gonzales, Evert Gonzales, Rosendo Gonzales, Jr., and Martha Gonzales.

Clara is survived by her husband Herman J. Burns (married on November 18, 2003); children: Karl Gonzales (Maria), Erica R. Gonzales (Lupe Granados); step-children: Richard Burns (Patty), Lisa Potter; grandchildren: Desiree Gonzales (Kevin Baca), Faith Gonzales (Fernando Marquez), Carlos Gonzales, Estevan Gonzales, Guadalupe J. Granados, Angelica R. Granados, Dominik R. Gonzales, Chelise Smith, Michelle Kava (Siva), Joshua Kava (Taylin), Chloe Kava, Luke Kava, Sophia Kava, great-granddaughter Zoey Baca; siblings: Teresa Gonzales, Mela Kramer, Fernandez Gonzales, Mary Alice Montanyo, Emily Garcia, and Dorothy Gonzales.

Clara was born in Grants, New Mexico on May 29, 1952 to Rosendo, Sr. and Filomena Gonzales. She graduated  from Las Vegas High in 1971. Clara was a seamstress at Levi Strass for 25 years. She sold jewels by Park Lane and sold Home Interior. She loved going to church, singing, going to the casino, and most of all making people laugh with her crazy stories. She was always helping people. She also loved being with her grandkids, family and friends. She enjoyed her margaritas and would always call family and friends at 3am and ask “what are you doing”. She always had her door open for family and friends.

Clara's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Sunday, December 5, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Reflection of Life Chapel® of Reflections Funerals & Life Celebrations/Salazar Funeral Homes & Crematory located at 2400 Washington St NE, 87110. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021 at 9:00 a.m. at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church located at 4502 4th St. NW, 87114.
