Deborah Zamora

Deborah Zamora joined the Lord at the age of 63 on Sunday, March 5, 2023 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

She was born on October 7,1959 to Arthur and Martha Harrison. She was a ’77 graduate of Valley High School and earned her Bachelor of Science and Master's degrees at the University of New Mexico.

She is preceded in death by her mother Martha Harrison and brother Artie Harrison.

Deborah is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Richard Zamora; father Arthur Harrison; three children: Marissa Zamora, David Zamora his wife Amberly, Matthew Zamora; sister Edwina Harrison; sister Yvonne Martinez and husband Paul; her brother Vincent Harrison and wife Yvette; and several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include her son Matthew Zamora, and nephews: Christopher Hays, Michael Armijo, Anthony Zamora, Vincent Harrison Jr, Eric Harrison, and Isaac Martinez.

Deborah taught at APS for 37 years. She he had a passion for education and knew the recipe for bringing joy to everyone around her. At the start of her career she launched multiple early childhood development programs before teaching the culinary programs she is known for at Cibola and West Mesa High School.

Together with her husband, their children knew her as their number one fan and biggest supporter. Her siblings and family knew her as their protector and the rock of the family. She will be greatly missed and touched countless lives.

Deborah's Life Celebration will begin with a Viewing on Thursday March 9, 2023 at 6:30pm at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington NE, Albuquerque, NM 87110. Rosary will be held on Friday March 10, 2023 at 8:30am at St. Therese Catholic Church, 3424 4th St NW, 87107. Mass will begin at 9:00am. The interment will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, Albuquerque, NM 87102.
