Donna M. Chavez

Donna M. Chavez, 49, is predeceased in death by her father Fernandez Chavez, son Cesar Chavez, daughter Vanessa Chavez, and niece Stacy Chavez.

Donna is survived by her husband of over 30 years George Chavez, her mother Emilia Chavez, sons Jerome Chavez (Crystal Quintana) and George Chavez IV (Kandra Blea),  brothers Freddie Chavez, Joe Chavez, and Chris Chavez (Eva), sisters Berna Simms, Gloria Vallejos (Lobo), Jeannie Chavez (Ray), Denise Chavez (Louie), Ella Romero (Ruben), and Mary Chavez (Ruben), grandchildren Izabella Chavez, Areina Chavez, Estrella “Sissy” Chavez, George “Gito” Chavez V, Estevan Chavez, Ernesto Chavez, Cesar Chavez, and Luciano Chavez.

Donna Chavez was a wonderful wife, mother, mother in law, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, nana and friend. She was loved by many and will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Donna loved all 8 of her grandkids with all of her heart. If she wasn't with them, by day she enjoyed the casino and by night she loved parties. Her heart and generosity knew no bounds. Goodbyes are not forever. Goodbyes are not the end. They simply mean I miss you. Until we meet again. Rest in Peace Nana Donna! We love you!

A celebration of life honoring Donna will began with a Visitation on Monday, February 25, 2019 at Our Lady of Light, Cubero NM, at 6:00 pm. Rosary starts at 7:00 pm with a reception at the church hall. Mass will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at 10:00 am with Interment to follow at San Mateo Cemetery. The Reception will be held at San Mateo Fire Department following burial.

Pallbearers will be Joni Molina, Jason Chavez, Leroy Chavez, Francisco "Tito" Chavez, Issac Chavez and Vorzheva Yanez.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jerome Chavez, George Chavez IV, Robert Yanez, Andrew Chavez, Corrine Aragon, Randy Riley, Audrianna Tenorio, Ray Tenorio, Don Marco Chavez and her grandchildren.
