Donna J. Wade

Donna Jean Wade passed away on Thursday, April 3, 2025, surrounded by her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Cindi McGee and James (Jim) Quirk.

Donna is survived by her sons: Thomas James Wade, Roy Lane Wade, Max Aaron Wade; sisters: Karen Kopel, Lynn Strish; brother Greg Quirk and John Quirk; daughters-in-law: Carla Wade, Beth Wade, Michelle Wade; grandchildren: Brittany Wade, Bryce Wade, Brynn Wade, Jessie Wade, Mathew Wade, Brooke McGuire, Garrett Wade, Claire Hunt, Grant Wade; great-grandchildren: Boone Lane Wade, Molly McGuire, Carter Hunt and Henry Hunt; and many nieces, nephews, and sisters-in-law who loved her dearly.

Born in 1948 in New York City to James Robert Quirk and Helen Patricia Quirk, Donna was one of seven children. Donna moved to New Mexico in 1969. She had originally planned on visiting her sister Karen before completing her move to California. That brief stop in New Mexico lasted 56 years.

Donna was a force of nature, whose love and passion touched everyone around her. She was generous to all and would gladly to give to help others. Her creative talents were truly boundless; whether she held a paintbrush or sat at a sewing machine, her work was nothing short of amazing and admired by all. Donna's unique ability to bring beauty into the world through her art will be deeply missed and forever cherished.

Not only was she creative, but she also helped her former husband to establish two successful businesses. With her art and her work in business, Donna was always eager to learn more and improve her skills. One of those skills was her ability to research genealogy and share her findings with her loved ones.

Her biggest joy in life, however, was family. She celebrated events and gatherings and creating cherished memories. Raising her three boys, watching them grow, and seeing the families they created brought her so much joy. She adored her children, grandchildren and her new great grandchildren.

Donna will be laid to rest on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at 11:00am at Fairview Memorial Park Cemetery located at 700 Yale Blvd SE, 87106.
