Donnie R. Gatling, Jr.

Devoted father, son, brother, and uncle, Donnie R. Gatling, Jr. was called home to be with our Lord on Monday, June 14, 2021 at the age of 38.

He leaves to cherish his memory a loving daughter Vanessa Gatling; father Donnie R. Gatling, Sr.; mother Stacy J. Gatling; brother Kris R. Armstrong and wife Victoria; sister Kelly (Armstrong) Gatling; nephew Izaiah Trujillo; nieces: Natalye Trujillo, Emilia Armstrong, Kelsey Armstrong; paternal grandparents: Muriel T. and Joan Gatling, Shirley Hale; maternal grandparents Laverne and Earl Armstrong, and a host of beloved relatives and friends.

Jr. was born on April 11, 1983 at Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He was the second child born to Donnie and Stacy. He attended Sandia High School. He continued his studies at Springer Boys School, where he graduated in May 2001.

In 2007 he married Desiree, which ended in divorce a couple years later. in October 2007, a most precious gift was born from that union, their daughter Vanessa. Jr. cherished the time he spent with Vanessa.

In his early years Jr. was full of life, curiosity, and adventure. Throughout his years he was a plumber's helper with his father. He also had a landscaping business, where he got to enjoy his love of gardening and nature. His love of the outdoors was endearing. Despite occasional hardships, Jr. had a big heart that was made of gold. He was the type of person that loved helping those that were less fortunate. He was loyal to those he loved. He loved spending time with his dogs and riding his motorcycle.

Jr. will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
