Dorothy L. LaMondy, 81, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018.
Dorothy is preceded in death by her father and mother Lazaro and Petrita Torres; her son Jay LaMondy; her brothers: Floyd and Johnny Torres; her sister Pearl Garcia; her grandmother Rufina Wolfel; her brother in laws: Joe Gutierrez and Louie Gonzales; her uncles: Ramon Montano and Henry Wolfel.
She is survived by her husband Walter LaMondy, her daughter Colette and husband Greg Bristol; her brother George Torres; her sisters: Mabel Gutierrez, June Gonzales, Mary and husband Leroy Padilla, Pauline and husband John Shainin; her sister in law Dora Torres; her grandchildren: Dustin and wife Savanna LaMondy, and Chelsea Bristol.
Dorothy was a loving, devout woman who fiercely loved her family. She was a giving woman who put everyone else before herself. The love she had to give was as vast as the universe. She spent her retirement making Rosaries for the Holy Ghost Rosary Makers, enjoying her favorite TV shows, and spending time with those she cared about the most. She loved God above all else, and everything she did was in adoration of Him.
Dorothy’s Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 5:30 pm at Salazar Funeral Homes located at 400 Third St SW 87102. Rosary will begin at 6:00 pm also at Salazar Funeral Homes & Crematory. Mass will take place on Thursday, October 11, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church located at 1818 Coal Place NE 87106. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE 87102.
Pallbearers will be James Garcia, Henry Garcia, Dustin LaMondy, Carlos Padilla, Michael Gonzales and Greg Bristol.
