Eddie Gonzales

Eddie Gonzales, 77, passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at home with his family by his side.

He was preceded in death by his parents Leondro and Demesia Gonzales; brothers: Herman Gonzales, and Floyd Martinez.

He is survived by his life partner Rosaline Garcia; daughters: Valerie Ybarra, Carmen Trujillo (David),  Edie Gonzales (Moses Archuleta); stepchildren: Margie Baca (Carlos Saavedra), Nick Garcia (Katie); siblings: John Vigil, Vito Gonzales, Tony Vigil (Gloria), Dora Lopez (Emilio), and Lita Gonzales. Eddie is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Eddie was named athlete of the year in school and was a Golden Glove boxer. He worked for House of Carpets for many years. He loved to go deer hunting and going to the horse races. In his free time he played poker and went to the casino.

Eddie's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Monday, January 25, 2021 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 309 Stover Ave. SW, 87102. Mass will begin at 10:30am also at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial information is to be announced.

Due to the COVID restrictions set in place by the Governor masks are MANDATORY to attend Eddie's Rosary, Mass, and Burial. Sacred Heart Catholic Church has a capacity of 75 people.

Pallbearers will be David Trujillo, Sr., David Trujillo, Jr., Lorenzo Lente, Moses Archuleta, Frank Jaramillo, and Chris Garcia.
