Eleanore (Przytulski) Radoslovich 92, of Albuquerque, NM, joined our Lord in Heaven on December 13, 2020. Ele passed away peacefully in her home from natural causes, surrounded by family and friends.
Eleanore was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Radoslovich; brothers: Joe and Raymond Albinski; sister Florence Farnaus (Albinski); oldest daughter Mary Evans and son-in-law Tad Skiba.
She leaves behind her children: Jan Radoslovich, Stan Radoslovich (Ann), Gloria Radoslovich (Mark), Gina Quinn (Shane), Chris Skiba, Vicky Cibicki (Tomasz), John Radoslovich, Ele Radoslovich (Mike Adams), Carla Delcambre (Dave), Julie Radoslovich (Ray Badua), and Charlie Radoslovich (Stephanie Koontz). Ele loved her 26 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, who called her “Busia,” a Polish term of endearment for grandmother.
Ele was born to Polish immigrants Stanisław and Kazmiera (Dobrzeniewski) Przytulski in Chicago, IL in 1928. Her family lived and farmed in Indiana growing tomatoes and cucumbers for the Heinz Company. During her senior year, Ele lived with the town sheriff and his wife and earned her keep feeding the prisoners. She graduated in 1945 with a class of twelve. After graduation, Ele worked as a reporter for the Daily Knox, and later worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Knox, IN. Ele attended St. Mary of Nazareth School of Nursing in Chicago, IL and graduated as a registered nurse in 1949. Her best friend, Agnes Radoslovich, introduced her handsome older brother, John, to Ele. After an endearing, one-month, long-distance courtship, John Radoslovich and Eleanore Przytulski were married on Christmas Day 1949 in Clayton, NM.
John and Ele purchased a ½ acre farm in the South Valley in Albuquerque, NM in 1950. Together they lovingly raised twelve wonderful children. They promoted academic excellence in their children and nurtured life skills such as gardening, sewing, fishing, canning, repairing, repurposing, building, baking, and raising animals. Judges of the New Mexico State Fair awarded numerous blue ribbons and Best of Shows to Ele for her canned goods and delicious breads and cakes. Ele looked forward to summer family vacations in a converted, 1958 International Metro Van “cookie truck” with Johnnie and the children.
Ele was a beautiful, hardworking, humble person. She devoted her entire life to the service of others. She provided an abundance of care for her family, friends, neighbors and community. The South Valley community recognized Eleanore’s contributions and honored her as Queen of Festival de Otoño in 1995 and Outstanding South Valley Citizen in 2003. Ele stayed current with the news, local happenings, as well as health-related issues, and was quick to provide medical advice to others. Ele was a devout Catholic. She attended Saint Anne and Saint Edwin Catholic Churches, and devoted her life to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary.
The family is grateful to family and caregivers who assisted Ele as she aged in her home of 70 years. The family thanks: Lita Charley, Adriana Garcia, Susy Garcia, Jennifer Lopez, and Lilia Medina. It takes a village to raise a child as well as an elder.
