Emilio “Mimo” Cordova, 77, went to be with the Lord on April 26, 2019, in the presence of his loving wife, Julie, of 57 years. He is also survived by his beloved daughter Nydia Bennett.
He was preceded in death by his parents Pete and Delia Cordova and Annabell.
He is survived by his sisters Helen Wills, Linda Hernandez (Manuel), Liz Cordova, Monica Montoya (Mike), and Lillian Cordova, brothers Vincent Cordova and John Cordova (Theresa), sisters-in-law Virginia Garcia, Berta Chavez (Leroy), Cecilia Metz (Jim), and brother-in-law Steve Anderson.
Emilio was a proud veteran serving two years in the Army (1 ½ years in Germany) and was honorably discharged as a sergeant. He retired from Yellow Freight Lines in 1999. Emilio was a man of integrity and honesty. He was also very generous. He loved playing golf with his golf buddies three to 4 times a week. He also loved playing his guitar
Mr. Cordova’s Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. at St. Therese of the Little Flower Catholic Church located at 3424 Fourth Street NW, Albuquerque, NM 87107, followed by a Rosary at 6:30 p.m. Mass will be held Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Therese. Burial will take place on Friday, May 3, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Santa Fe National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Cordova, Wayne Wills, Armando DeAguero, Raymond Sisneros, Jerret Nez, and Tanner Anderson.
