Epifanio "Epi" Ulibarri

Epifanio "Epi" Ulibarri, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at the age of 86.

Epi is preceded in death by his father Doroteo Ulibarri, mother Antonia Ulibarri, brother Gene Ulibarri, sisters: Refugia Sandoval, and Josie Pacheco.

Epi is survived by his wife Manuelita Ulibarri; sons: Lawrence Ulibarri, Gene Ulibarri; daughter Eileen Maus (Brandon); grandsons: Andrew Ulibarri, Jerimiah Carver; granddaughters: Jacquelyn Bravo, Sarah Bravo; great-granddaughters: Jazzminee Rodriquez, Esperanza Rodriquez, and brother Cruz Ulibarri.

Epi lived a full and rich life filled with love, laughter, and a deep commitment to his family and his country.

Epi was a man of service, dedicating a portion of his life to serving our nation in the United States Air Force. His dedication, discipline and patriotism were never in question, as he took great pride in his service. After his military career, Epi continued to work hard and uphold his strong moral values in all he did, garnering the respect and admiration of those who knew him.

Outside of his work and service, Epi was a man of diverse interests. He loved the great outdoors and found peace and joy in activities such as fishing and camping. He also had a knack for playing the slot machines at the casino, a pastime he often enjoyed with friends and family. His love for cars was evident in his extensive collection, each vehicle a testament to his appreciation for fine craftsmanship.

Epi was known for his wisdom, a trait that made him the go-to person for advice among his family. His faith was an integral part of his life, guiding his actions and decisions. He was a selfless individual, always willing to lend a hand or an ear to those in need. His sense of humor was infectious, and his laughter could light up any room.

Epi cherished his role as a grandfather. He found immense joy in his grandchildren’s achievements and was always there to provide guidance, share a joke, or simply spend quality time with them. His trustworthiness made him a reliable figure in their lives, a cornerstone they could always depend on.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Ulibarri, Jose Miranda, Gene Ulibarri, and Lawrence Ulibarri.

Epi's Life Celeration will begin with a Rosary to be recited on Tuesday, October 24, 2023, at 8:15am at St. Anne's Catholic Church located at 1400 Arenal Rd SW, 87105. Mass will begin at 9:00am. Epi will be laid to rest following the Mass at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St., Santa Fe, 87501
