Erlinda “Early” Lovato, passed away peacefully on June 14, 2024, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico, at the age of 85.
Erlinda was preceded in death by her husband Frank Lovato, Jr., mother Sarah Cordova, father Venceslado Cisneros, and brother Norbert Cisneros.
She is survived by daughters: Anastacia Whiteman (Jeff), Angelica Gutierrez (Mike); son Frank Lovato III (Renee); grandchildren: Josh Lujan, Marissa Lopez, Alyssa Lopez, Javier Gutierrez, Mario Gutierrez, Lucas Lovato, Lindsay Lovato; one great-granddaughter Kaija-Grace Engstrom; sisters: Rosina Martinez, Belda Archuleta, Lorenza Garcia (Toby), and Viola CdeBaca.
Born on April 1, 1939, in Questa, New Mexico, Erlinda’s life was a tapestry of dedication to her family, a passion for her interests, and an unwavering commitment to helping others. Erlinda was a parishioner of Queen of Heaven Catholic Church for over 50 years. Erlinda's zest for life was evident in her diverse hobbies and interests. She was an avid genealogist, tracing her family roots with meticulous care, and could often be found at the casino. Her love for puzzles, bowling, sewing, and crocheting provided countless hours of joy and a way to share her talents with those she loved. A fan of New Mexican music, novelas, and classic westerns, Erlinda's home was always filled with the sounds and stories of her cherished Southwest.
Traveling was one of Erlinda's greatest pleasures, with memorable trips to Europe and Alaska marking the pages of her adventurous life. However, her greatest journey was that of raising her family and holding them together, a testament to her success and the legacy she leaves behind.
As we bid farewell to Erlinda Lovato, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, love, and an enduring sense of community. Her memory will continue to inspire and guide us.
Erlinda’s life celebration will begin with a rosary to be recited on Monday, June 24, 2024 at 9:30 a.m. at Queen of Heaven Catholic Church located at 5311 Phoenix Ave NE, 87110. Mass will begin at 10:00 a.m. She will be laid to rest following Mass at Mount Calvary Cemetery located at 1900 Edith Blvd NE, 87102.
Pallbearers will be Mike Gutierrez, Joshua Lujan, Jeff Whiteman, Lucas Lovato, Mario Gutierrez, and Javier Gutierrez.
