Ernest E. Costales, 84, went home to his Savior on, December 1, 2018, surrounded by his adoring family.
He was preceded in death by parents, Sofia and Jose; in-laws Nick and Helen Sanchez; brothers, Alonzo, Nestor and Joe; and infant grandson, Joseph.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Amelia (Amy); children: Cathy, Paul (Cheri), Christine (Ted), Nick (Naomi), Michelle (Joe); grandchildren: Caryn (Paul), Esther (Jared), Aly, Ben, Caila, Cori, Teddy, Damian (Kiyomi), Elijah, Sophia; great grandchildren: Brynn, Elena, Kelly Ann, Asher, Mina, Ocean, Edin, Ezra; and sister Frances Tenorio (Robert).
He was a graduate of Albuquerque HS and served in the Army. He was a lifelong member of El Buen Samaritano UMC where he served in numerous official capacities.
Ernest was an impeccable, well-respected master craftsman and was self-employed for 60 years.
He loved his God, family, church, camp and friends. Ernest had a special way of making everyone he met feel welcomed and loved.

Ernest's Life Celebration will be a Memorial Service held on Saturday, December 15th, 11:00am at El Buen Samaritano UMC, 700 Granite NW. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts to El Buen Samaritano or Sacramento Camp, PO Box 8, Sacramento, NM 88347 are greatly appreciated.
