Ferdinand "Fred" Medrano

Ferdinand "Fred" Medrano, 94, passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022.

He was preceded in death by his son Richard Medrano.

Fred is survived by his spouse Cristina Medrano; daughter Adrienne Medrano; sisters: Genoveva Bleich, Aurelia Flynn; brother Daniel Medrano; grandchildren: Dustin, Brooke, Devin, Matthew, Brittany; great grandchildren: Jayden, Micah, Abigail, and Cameron.

Fred was born in New York City on November 1, 1927. He served his country in the United States Army. After serving, he became well-known in the printing industry where he worked for more than 40 years. He moved from the northeast in the late 1970’s to settle in the southwest to join family. He was an accomplished pianist who loved playing and attending classical music concerts with his wife. He was an active man, a regular swimmer at West Mesa pool, and enjoyed riding his bike in the neighborhood.

Fred's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 12:30 pm at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Life Celebration will begin at 1:00 pm. Fred will be laid to rest at 3:00 pm at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St. Santa Fe, NM 87501.
