Frances Padilla

Frances Padilla, daughter of Norman and Helen Traeger, loving wife of Louis Padilla, passed away at her home in Albuquerque, NM  on Friday, May 8, 2020 at the age of 78, after battling cancer.

Fran is survived by her husband Louis Padilla, her brother Bruce Traeger, and three children: Joanne Quintana and her husband Robert, Eric Padilla and his wife Janet, Andrew Padilla and his wife Cyndee. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren: Josh, Sara, Greg, and Elena.

She was born in Brooklyn NY, and known by some as “Brooklyn Fran”.  With her being a born New Yorker, it definitely showed with her feisty, strong-willed, and independent personality which made her one of a kind that will be truly missed by those around her.

Fran was an avid animal lover and had a deep love for the neighborhood dogs who would stop by daily to visit and enjoy treats. She loved cats and dogs equally and always enjoyed being in their company and taking care of them over the years.

Fran had a passion for cooking and baking for her family. She had enjoyed travelling the world with her husband Louis during his years in the military.

Fran has requested in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Animal Humane Society as well as Four Corners Pure Bred Rescue or to any animal rescue.
