Gabriel F. Sanchez

September 14, 1941 — March 14, 2017

Gabriel F. Sanchez, 75, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his parents: Jose and Francisca Sanchez; sisters: Esmeralda Sanchez and Virginia Garcia; brothers: Antonio, Manuel, Art, Orlando, and Rudy Sanchez.

Gabriel is survived by his brothers: Joe and Raymond Sanchez; sisters: Anna Ayala and Lucy Hernandez; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

He worked for Sam Martinez as a painter at Central Paint and Body. He was not able to work at a very young age due to a stroke and heart problems. Everyone thought he would not make it past the age of 40. Doctors gave him the nickname of The Walking Miracle.

Gabriel's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary on Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. at Salazar Mortuary, followed by a Service at 9:30 a.m. Burial will follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Billy, Tony, Jullian, Gullermo, Leon, and Gabriel
