Thank you to my SUPER HEROS, LOVE YOU ALL
There is so much of our dad that I learned while he was sick. Secrets he kept, fun he had, choices he made good or bad, bet you all did not know his favorite actress was Barbara Eden (I dream of Jeannie), his favorite female singer was Patsy Cline. His favorite male singer Fats Domino (I want, walk you home). His all time favorite food was hamburgers.
He loves hunting season, never had the luck of bringing a prize home but watching us as young girls and listening to him on the phone as we got older, the excitement in his voice was enough for us to cheer him on for any season, deer, elk or duck.
The stories he would share. All the crazy situations he got himself in as a young man with his cousins. Oh my goodness! My husband Eloy has a hunting story to hold close to his heart, the year he went with my dad, oh my, ask him.
We all have told him "Dad/George, come on, write a book". If there were ever stories of a man that kept your attention and left you with the question "Why and where? Wow! How?" he left you saying "oh my goodness" it would be our dad.
As you all know, we all had our very own personal puppets. He was only so happy to draw smiley faces on his two little fingers for his grandchildren when they were young and to be able to share with his great grandchildren was a pleasure for him.
How lucky was Daddy to be a part of such a loving and supportive family. My grandparents Felipe and Bertha Herrera, his 4 sisters and brother and Families.
Thank you for all the support, love and laughter you gave to myself, my sister and our dad. A party he threw not knowing and not being able to leave this one. I LOVE YOU DADDY!!! Now Rest In Peace!
