Gidget Emily Young

Gidget Emily Young, 41, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, September 3, 2016.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents Robert and Andrea Young and grandpa Manuel Luera.

Gidget is survived by her husband, of seventeen years, Martin Serna; parents Bob and Birdie Young; sons Isaac M. Young and Martin A. Serna; brothers Robert T. Young Jr., Ike Young, and Jesse L. Young; Grandma Bertha; nephews Robert, Manuel and Samuel; nieces Natalie, Raquel and Janessa; and aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was a youth group leader at St. Francis Xavier, a spiritual adviser at St. Vincent de Paul, enjoyed singing and dancing, and helped with fund raisers for Joy Junction. She loved holding Thanksgiving dinners for her community.

Gidget's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Friday, September 9, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Saint Francis Xavier Church located at 820 Broadway Blvd SE 87102, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Final Viewing will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 9:30 a.m. also at Saint Francis Xavier Church, followed by a Mass at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow services at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Ike Young, Robert Young, Donny Chavez, Justin Serna, Ale Santiago, and Jesse Young. Honorary pallbearers will be remaining family members.
