Hope Gabrielle Leyba

Hope Gabrielle Nichole Leyba was born on August 24th, 1987. In Albuquerque, NM.

She went by either Hope or Gabrielle. Hope went to Hawthorne Elementary, Hayes Middle School, and she graduated from Highland High School. In 1998, Hope wrote a short poem that was published that year and this began her passion for writing. Hope had many talents that include singing, violin, and guitar. She played in many concerts including, The Mariachi Spectacular. She loved music of all genres and some of her favorite bands included, The Backstreet Boys, N’Sync, The Spice Girls, One Direction, and The 100 Monkeys.

She loved people and animals alike. She was Tech-savy and was into style and fashion. Hope was called Home on Friday May 18th and is leaving behind her Mother, Grandmother [Mom], Stepfather, Brother, Sister-in law, Aunties, Uncles, and Cousin, and her soon to be Nephew, and many close Friends. Hope would not want us to be sad, but instead to celebrate her life.

Hope's life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Wednesday, May 23, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. at Reflections Chapel, followed by a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Final Viewing will be held on on Thursday May 24, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Assumption Church, located at 811 Guaymas Pl NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108, followed by Mass at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow Services at Sandia Memory Gardens.

Pallbearers will be James Leyba, Eric Teran, George Martinez, step-brothers Dominic Martinez and Demetrius Martinez, Jaime Bates, Leonard Lovato Jr., and Chris Martinez.
