Isidro Romero

Isidro Romero, 98, passed away on Tuesday, December 5, 2017.

He is preceded in death by his wife Pauline Romero, daughters: Mary Anne Vargas, Mary Irene Moya, Bernadette Zamora, and Connie Romero-Sandoval, grandsons: John Romero, Robert Moya, Frank Romero Jr. and great grandson: Steven Trujillo.

He is survived by his sons: Frank Romero and wife Carmen, Anthony Romero, and Gene Romero; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great grandchildren.

Our beloved dad and grandpa. Isidro lived a long life filled with a big loving family. He proudly served his country and fought in Europe during WWII. He was born and raised in Santa Fe, NM, where he and his wife Pauline raised their 7 children together. He retired as a federal police officer. Isidro was blessed to see his grandchildren grow.

Isidro's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Sunday, December 10, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary, followed by a Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Mass will be held on Monday, December 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church located at 5415 Fortuna Rd NW, Albuquerque, NM 87105. Burial will follow Services at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 3:00 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Trujillo, Joe Trujillo, Isaac Sandoval, Louis Zamora, Isaac Zambrano, Jude Romero, and Michael Herrera. Honorary Pallbearers will be Dominic Maldonado Jr., Christopher Barboa, Joe Trujillo, Nathaniel Lucero, Steven Trujillo, Gabriel Trujillo, Christopher Quintana and Gilbert Quintana.
