Jacob Aaron Scarlett, 32, passed away on Sunday, February 26, 2023 surrounded by loved ones.
Jacob, the second oldest of four boys, was born to Michael Sr. and Susan Scarlett on October 21, 1990, in Gorgas Army Community Hospital, Ancon, Republic of Panama. Jacob’s dad Michael Sr. served 23 years of active duty military service, this allows Jacob the honor to be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery. Raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jacob graduated from Manzano High School where he enjoyed every aspect of school. In joining with the Scarlett family tradition, Jacob was an athlete and competed in the Special Olympics. Jacob loved watching football. From watching his brothers play to sitting at home watching with his family. Jacob lived life to the fullest and had many hobbies including playing games on his tablet while listening to music from artists consisting of Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, and Ice Cube. Jacob loved watching his favorite TV show Spongebob Squarepants. His favorite movies were White Chicks and Major Payne. Jacob loved the outdoors and camping with his family. Jacob had an appetite for food, his favorites were Pepperoni Pizza, Birthday Cake, and Dr. Pepper. Jacob loved being around family and friends. Every day Jacob had a smile on his face no matter what adversity he faced. His laugh was infectious and he will be remembered for his confidence
in approaching life. His selflessness for others and the love he showed to others each and every day of his life.
Jacob is survived by his parents Michael Sr. and Susan. Brothers Michael Jr., Joshua, and Ryan. Sister-in-law Rebecca and niece Piper.
Jacob's Life Celebration will take place on Friday, March 10, 2023, at 8:30 am at Reflections Chapel located at 2400 Washington St. NE, 87110, Albuquerque, New Mexico. Jacob will be laid to rest following the service at the Santa Fe National Cemetery located at 501 N Guadalupe St., 87501 Santa Fe, New Mexico. Funeral reception in Santa Fe more info to come.
