Jenny Marie Garcia

Jenny Marie Garcia, 45, passed away on January 8, 2021.

The Lord Our Savior brought her home after battling serious health issues.

Jenny is preceded by death by her mother Diana; her sister-in-law Eileen Garcia; and her two four legged friends: Laffy and Amy.

She is survived by her father Benjamin Garcia; family members Carlotta Garcia, Benjamin Garcia, Andrew and Teresa Garcia, Eileen Garcia, Francine Garcia, Mark Zamora. Also her nephews: Matthew Garcia, Nicholas Garcia, Jonathan Garcia; and niece Adrianna Garcia.

Jenny graduated from Valley High School in 1993. She excelled in many areas during her life. She was gifted with many talents and hobbies. She loved showcasing her artistic abilities, as well as singing and dancing. Jenny was selected as the Person of the Year at her job. She thrived in the Special Olympics, receiving hundreds of medals in bocce, basketball, gymnastics, biking and swimming.

Jenny was a living Angel and made many friends along the way. She was kind and loving with a strong mindset. She did her best to be independent even with the progression of her failing health.

Our beloved Jenny embraced values that made her a joy to be around. She was funny, ambitious, and so loving.

Jenny had an infectious laughter and smile. The world will be a little darker without her beautiful spirit. The impact she left on our lives will forever be imprinted in our hearts.

Jenny's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at 11:30am at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St. SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 1:00pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church located at 309 Stover Ave. SW, 87102. Service will follow Rosary. Jenny's burial will take place on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 9:45am at the Santa Fe National Cemetery.

Due to the Governor's COVID restrictions set in place masks are MANDATORY to attend Jenny's Visitation, Rosary, Service, and Mass. Salazar Mortuary has a capacity of 5 people allowed in the funeral home. We ask that family and friends attending the Visitation wait INSIDE of their vehicles until we are ready for the next group of 5 to come in. Sacred Heart currently has a capacity of 75 people.

Pallbearers will be Andrew Garcia, Leroy Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Mark Zamora, Jonathan Garcia and Pete Garcia.
