Jerome "Envy" Jojola, a loving, generous, and passionate man, was born on March 31, 1988, in Albuquerque, NM, and passed away in the same city on Wednesday, August 16, 2023.

He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Tina Sandoval, grandparents: Floyd Sandoval, Salvador and Angie Alderete, cousin/brother Vincent Sandoval.

Jerome is survived by his father Jerry Jojola, daughters: Esperanza, Olivia; sister Francine “Fran” Sandoval and husband Fernando “Fern” Ortega, nieces/cousins: Keianna “Kiki” Sandoval, Margaritta “Ritta” Sandoval; great niece “Kehlani", nephews: Romeo, Fernando “Monkey”, grandmother Margaret Sandoval, nino and nina Fred and Elsie Chavez, also many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Known to his friends and loved ones as Envy, Jerome was a man of many talents and interests. His passion for cars was evident in his involvement with the Taking Over Car Club. He was not just an enthusiast but a skilled mechanic who could dismantle an entire car and reassemble it with precision.

In addition to his mechanical skills, Jerome was also an artist. He had a knack for painting cars, transforming them into moving pieces of art. His creativity and attention to detail were admired by all who knew him.

Music was another of Jerome's great loves. He found joy in all genres, and his appreciation for music was infectious. His friends often commented that a gathering was not complete without Envy's carefully curated playlist.

Jerome Jojola was a man who lived his life with passion and generosity. He shared his love for cars, music, and art with everyone he met, leaving a lasting impact on his community. His spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Jerome "Envy" Jojola will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

Jerome’s life celebration will begin with a visitation on Saturday, September 2, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. at Salazar Mortuary located at 400 Third St SW, 87102. Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. Service will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Pallbearers will be Daniel Villegas, Patrick Tafoya, Nicholas Tafoya, Mark Tafoya, James Maness, and Joseph Ortega.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Mario Ortega.
