John I. King, 67, went to be with our Lord on Monday, January 11, 2021.
John is preceded in death by his father Irwin King, mother Betsy (Endito) King, sister Linda Begay, and brother Irvin King, Jr.
He is survived by his wife of 6 years (together 20 years) Ruth (Allery) King; sons: Andre King (Janice), Jason King (Lorinda), Sean King, Chad Bradford; daughters: Michelle Spang (Kermit), Christie Avery (Shane), Tiffany Brown; brothers: Irwin King (Bernice), Alvin King (Elaine); sisters: Carlene Murphy, Beverly Arviso (Orvil), Jeanie King (Roger); also 25 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
John honorably served our country in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He was the Iyanbito Chapter Veterans Commander and the Navajo Nation Veterans Director. John was an artist.
John's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 9:00 am at The Door Christian Fellowship Church located at 5915 Bluewater Rd NW, 87105. Service will begin at 10:00 am also at The Door Christian Fellowship Church. John will be laid to rest at the Gallup State Veterans Cemetery in a private graveside (due to the restrictions).
Due to the COVID restrictions set in place by the Governor masks are MANDATORY to attend John's Visitation and Service.
Pallbearers will be Sean King, Jason King, Andre King, Ben Leedom, Trevor LeBeaux, and Marcus Sierra.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Alvin King, Gene Allery, Jerry Allery, Chad Bradford, Merrick Iron Moccasin, Shane Avery, Kermit Sprang, John Arviso, Steve Arviso, Pat King, Mike Murphey, Marvin Murphey, the Iyanbito Veterans, and the US Department of Housing and Urban Development Team (HUD).
