Johnny J. Baeza

Johnny J. Baeza, known affectionately by many as John, went to be with our Lord on Saturday, November 4, 2023, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

Born on August 18, 1948, in Tucumcari, New Mexico. Johnny lived a vibrant life marked by humor, love, and selflessness.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents Canuto and Juanita Baeza, and sisters Toni and Connie.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria Baeza; children: Kenneth Baeza (Jenny), Rachel Reyes (Edward), Jennifer Prada (Ray), Mary Roybal, Angela Salazar; sister Roma Ramirez; 11 grandchildren: Addy, Eddy, Rachelle, Meagan, Amber, Andrea, Kenneth, Joseph, Brooke, Sophia, and Anjel; 22 great grandchildren and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.

He nourished people around him with love, laughter, and support. Thanks to his joyous and funny nature, Johnny never failed to put a smile on anyone's face. His selflessness was nothing short of exemplary, as he persistently placed the happiness of others before his.

Johnny found his greatest joy in the arms of his beloved wife, Gloria Baeza. She was the beating heart of his world, and together they built a beautiful life. Johnny was an outdoor enthusiast whose favorite hobbies included fishing, camping, and a fun spin at the casino slot machines.

Johnny leaves us richer for knowing him and will be deeply missed. This wonderful man lived his life to the fullest and made the world a brighter place with his precious existence.
