Johnny Ray Esquibel

November 1, 1965 — January 15, 2022

Johnny Ray Esquibel, 56, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, January, 15, 2022.

Johnny was a well liked and respected man. He was a skilled Mason and took so much pride in his work. Often times, riding around the Albuquerque he’d pass certain areas and say, “I built that” or “wow how level that wall is.” He really loved and appreciated his profession. It was his art work, truly. After receiving a prestigious award in a Masonry contest one time in Kansas he moved to Arizona from NM where he was able to pursue work and stay busy in his craft.

Johnny’s children were the world to him. He has eleven all together. Joseph, Dileen, Rosalie, Mercedes, James, Adelina, Johnny, Renee, Destiny, Jacob and Yvette. He was very dedicated putting them in sports. He was at every practice and every game running down the sidelines. He coached the girls’ volleyball, and the boys football team. He was the best!

Johnny was a godly man and always kept his family close to the church. Although he struggled with addiction, he always kept his faith. The last three years of his life he dedicated to his sobriety and succeeded to the very end. Way to go Johnny! You will be dearly missed. God bless you Johnny Ray Esquibel. We love you, may you rest in peace all of your heavenly life.

He is preceded in death by his mother Adelia Esquibel.

Johnny is survived by his wife of 23 years Teresa D. Flores Esquibel; father John David Esquibel; sons: Joseph Esquibel, James Esquibel, Johnny Esquibel, Jacob Esquibel; daughters: Dileen Esquibel, Mercedes Sanchez, Destiny Esquibel, Yvette Esquibel, Rosalie Esquibel, Adelina Sanchez, Renee Esquibel; sisters: Loretta Esquibel, Marie Nevarez; 20 grandchildren and one on the way.
