John Sanders Rogers Iii

John Sanders Rogers III of Tijeras, NM, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2022.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Peace Rogers and brother Gary L. Rogers of San Diego, CA.

John was born on October 26, 1948 to John and Mary (Tafoya) Rogers in Albuquerque, NM. He went to elementary school in Lincoln, NE and high school in Merced, CA. He then graduated from the University of New Mexico where he was subsequently employed in administrative roles in which he strove for excellence in the education and health care goals of UNM. He adored his dogs and loved helping them find forever-caring homes like he provided for his own. He spent numerous hours perfecting his firearms skills both for family/self-defense and sport.

John was a kind and generous man who will be fiercely missed by those who knew and loved him.

John's Life Celebration will be held on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the Mountainside United Methodist Church located at 4 Penny Lane, Cedar Crest, NM 87008.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation.
