Jose A. Leyva

Jose A. Leyva, 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2016.

He is preceded in death by his son Joel Leyva and daughter Rachel Leyva-Davis.

Jose is survived by his wife, of 63 years, Minnie Leyva; sons Amos Leyva and wife Denise and Ruben Leyva and wife Debra; granddaughters whom he raised Felicia Silva-Lucero and Tamara Davis-Ward; brother Armando Leyva and wife Magdelena; sisters Elena Flores and Elisia "Licha" Portillo; twelve grandchildren; twenty one great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

He was a pastor, minister, and central district leader with the Assemblies of God Church for many years.

Jose's Life Celebration will begin with a Visitation on Friday, December 30, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at Casa del Rey located at 2500 Corona Dr NW, followed by a Celebration Service at 7:00 p.m. A Service will be held on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. also at Casa del Rey. Burial will follow Services at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Joseph Leyva, Jarod Leyva, Caleb Leyva, Joel Leyva, Mathew Leyva, and Marcus Leyva.
